About The Owner - Cecile Lackie
When I found my middle-aged spirit bursting forth in endeavors and adventures surprising even to me Silver Spirit came to life early in 2008. In but a few busy months, on July 18, 2008 Silver Spirit's door opened offering Northampton residents and visitors something new and exciting.
I knew I wanted the store to be more than just about the jewelry. I wanted for people to come in, relax, have some fun so that their experience would memorable as much for the atmosphere as for the jewelry. I strive for that every day!
I'm enjoying the adventure of owning and operating the store. I'm thrilled to have returned to New England. After living in Virginia for 26 years, coming to Northampton with its peaceful beauty and plentiful cultural opportunities has proven to be a perfect place to call home.
I could credit my many different career experiences over the years for giving me the foundation necessary to start Silver Spirit. However, I think more importantly it is my never-ending curiosity, sense of adventure and joyful spirit that has me here today. Now that the store is up and running, I get a kick out of buying new inventory, meeting new people, and seeing many a smiling face leave the store.
